Alireza Firoozi — Violinist in Toronto
AR Violinist is the violin performance brand of Toronto-based violinist Alireza Firoozi. With more than twenty years on professional stages, he performs at weddings, galas and private celebrations across the GTA, Ontario and beyond.
Acoustic and electric violin. Persian and Western repertoire. English and Farsi.
A Life Built Around the Violin
Born in Iran, Alireza began playing the violin at the age of six. His father recognised his talent early, and steady, disciplined practice turned it into rapid progress. Through his teenage and early adult years, there were days he spent twelve hours with the instrument.
That foundation became a professional career. For more than twenty years, Alireza has performed on major stages, accompanying renowned vocalists in Iran and in Canada and playing with a range of well-known ensembles.
Toronto has been his home for more than a decade. Through AR Violinist, he now brings that stage experience to weddings, corporate events and private celebrations, and he speaks with clients in English or Farsi.
Performing at Toronto's Landmark Venues
Alireza has performed at many of the city's most celebrated venues, including:
Casa Loma
Liberty Grand
Fairmont Royal York
The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto
Four Seasons Hotel Toronto
Shangri-La Hotel Toronto
Hotel X Toronto
Graydon Hall Manor
Beyond the GTA, he travels for destination weddings and events across North America and Europe, including a wedding in Monaco.
One Violinist, Every Register
Each performance is shaped around the room, from a quiet ceremony entrance to a full dance floor.
Acoustic Violin
Classical and romantic repertoire for ceremonies, dinners and refined receptions.
Electric Violin
A modern, high-energy sound for receptions, galas and brand events.
Violin with DJ
Live violin alongside your DJ, with seamless transitions between sets.
Persian Repertoire
Full command of the Persian dastgah system for Persian and mixed-culture celebrations.
He blends naturally with other musicians and instruments, so the music stays cohesive whether he performs solo or as part of a larger line-up.
Fluent in Persian Classical Music
Alireza has a complete, professional command of the Persian dastgah system, every mode and its gushehs, and moves between them with ease.
His real distinction is improvisation: shaping music in the moment to follow a singer, another instrument or the energy of the room. It is the skill that sets him apart from a typical event violinist.
It is also why his performances suit multicultural celebrations, including:
- Persian weddings
- Lebanese and Middle Eastern celebrations
- Pakistani and Indian weddings
- Greek, Italian and Portuguese weddings
- Jewish and Caribbean weddings
- Western ceremonies and receptions
Many couples bring two families and two musical traditions together on one day. Blending them into a single celebration is something clients mention again and again in their reviews.
Reading the Room
Improvisation is a stage skill, and Alireza brings it to every event: watching the guests, adjusting repertoire and tempo, and timing each piece to the moment it belongs to.
Clients describe him as punctual, prepared and easy to work with, someone who understands the flow of an event and coordinates closely with planners and DJs.
